What materials do I need?

I've used my normal palette of colours for all the paintings in this course, but can't remember now if I used all of them or just some!
For reference my palette is: Ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, cadmium yellow medium, lemon yellow, cadmium red, alizarin crimson,
raw sienna and burnt sienna, and chinese white (or titanium white).
I also used a few large round and small round brushes, a couple of flats and a rigger. My paper is usually Bockingford 140lb.

Where can I buy art materials?

In the UK or Europe try Ken Bromley where you get a great service and very good discounts on everything you will need.

In the USA go to Jerry’s Artarama

All quotes in blue speech bubbles, and the artists paintings in this course come from the book
Watercolour Impressionists.  Author: Ron Ranson,1989  Publishers: David & Charles  ISBN0715393383
with thanks to the Publishers for their kind permission to use them.

My thanks to the seven great artists whose work I have used in this course. Without you my life would be much duller!.
All the comments I have made about these artists, the inferences I have drawn from their working methods and their approach to painting are solely my own, and are as such subjective.
